Right after this experience in particular I was really paying attention to the birds around and it was silent. There were no bird alarms in the area…Just quiet…it didn’t really register that it was so quiet until after the encounter…So It was a good lesson to not ignore the complete silence I guess but now when I go to the woods and it’s very quiet I find myself looking over my shoulders.
I always imagined a bird would tell me when i got close enough to see something like that…an alarm or something…Not a single noise happened…which is an alarm in itself I won’t be forgetting about again. This also happened on a main trail humans use not very often but it is the only human trail…
